Burnet County ESD 3 is funded through ad valorem property taxes and the collection of a two percent sales tax. In November 2023, voters in the District approved the collection of a sales tax to help support fire and first responder services. Collection of sales tax began in April 2024 with the first sales tax distribution made to BCESD 3 in June 2024.
Burnet County ESD 3 ad valorem tax rate is assessed on property values established by the Burnet County Appraisal District. The tax rate (below) is per $100 of home value, as determined by the Burnet County Appraisal District.

Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.
